ISOTHANE ACOUSTIC TEST DATA AVAILABLE
'Isothane Ltd have copies available of the Test Report "International Standard Method for Measurement of Airborne Sound Insulation of Building Elements BS EN ISO 140-3 : 1995 carried out by The University of Salford.
Renotherm spray applied polyurethane foam was applied to a laboratory scale, standard clay tile roof with 'Rosemary' tiles laid onto timber battens within a 100mm timber rafter frame with no sarking felt. The results will be good news for those with properties near airports and roads as the report shows that there is a significant reduction of airborne sound.
The report will also be useful for designers in helping to combat the growing nuisance of air pollution. Renotherm already has two BBA certificates for roof stabilisation (consolidation of tiles and slates suffering from nail fatigue) and insulation of roofs, walls and ground floors in both new and existing buildings. Spray applied polyurethane foam in tiled and slated pitched roofs has now been installed in more than 100,000 homes for over 30 years in the U.K.
